Overall I'm very happy with the outcomes I get from Car Tenders. I have a 40-year old car and David's expertise is critical to me after leaving Complete Automotive after many long years. However, there is clear room for improvement. 1. It is saddening that I get a survey for a < $100 oil change for our Miata but I do not get a survey for a $10,000 almost 4-month long servicing of my 1979 300D. 2. I was surprised by some costs on my last $10,000 service of my 300D. Surprises should never happen. I think the costs were reasonable but I want to know what something is going to cost before I agree to the work. 3. I have learned that I need to call Car Tenders twice daily (2 x per day) if I do not want delays in my repairs. I understand that it takes a long time to get some parts, but it should not take days to get responses, get estimates, get answers, etc. Furthermore, commitments around getting back to me are consistently missed. I end of upset with myself because "I know better" and I did not follow up every day. My last servicing (I believe Feb. 7th through approx. May 26th) likely could have been done in a lot shorter time if Car Tenders was more responsive/proactive and/or I remembered to follow up daily on status and next steps and then follow up on the status of those next steps daily. But, honestly, I hate having to do that. I know this looks poorly on one (wonderful and capable) person, but I wonder if Car Tenders is not under-staffed.
