The folks at Car Tender agreed to take on a PPI for a vintage/very unique pre-MBUSA G-Wagon despite me being located in Boston. David is a Mercedes-Benz master tech and performed the inspection…very much relieved to have a subject matter expert take a look at this unicorn! I received a detailed and comprehensive inspection report that outlined all the must-dos, could-dos and things to keep an eye on. Rob spent at least 90 minutes with me on the phone walking through every aspect of the report. At no point did I get the feeling they were trying to upsell me on frivolous maintenance or the car itself. I came in as an east coast cold call and left as if I’d been taking my vehicle to them for years. Top notch operation and fantastic people, who, btw, were able to squeeze me in despite booking 2-3 weeks out. I can’t say enough about the experience. At the end of the day I was just a random guy on the other end of the phone and they treated me like their best customer. My only regret is that they don’t have a shop in Boston.

I can't say enough about this place! The team at Car Tender have provided my family with stellar service for over a decade. My dad still drives his beloved '93 Honda Civic in large part because of the good folks at Car Tender. In addition to numerous repairs, they went above and beyond helping him find a new engine that would work, keeping my dad's favorite car going to this very day. I came in to have them look at my Honda CR-V, and they were extremely thorough with their inspection. They are basically the only shop I trust. The whole team genuinely enjoy working on cars and helping folks who love their vehicle extend their time with it as long as possible. If you take your car in they'll give it a thorough inspection, tell you exactly what issues it has, and go above and beyond to fix them. If the part you need is nearly impossible to find nowadays, they will find it, or something else that works just as good. Even better, they'll be completely honest with you during the entire process. They are responsive when it comes to communication with their customers as well. They understand the passion some folks have for their cars because they feel it too. On top of that, they are friendly, not judgemental or negative. They don't try to pressure or rush you into anything and they go above and beyond to explain anything you don't understand, so you can make the best decision for you and your vehicle. I'm no mechanic, and the patience they've shown me (as they reiterated things I asked about) is so appreciated. I meant to post this review months ago, but my phone's signal apparently crapped out and it didnt go through. This team is so incredible that I've gone back and re-typed this essay, because they deserve every bit of it. This place helped me figure out whats wrong with a bmw X5 and i cant be more greatful for the help they have great customer service and in depth explanation to understand what's going on with the vehicle they were super friendly and I'd definitely bring my vehicle back they were straight up with me and I can respect a honest business

brought the car to deal with error messages in the systems. It was determined the oil level sensor was faulty and otherwise things were operating as they should.

Good intake, felt well informed, and received updates all along the way.

They traced the source of battery drain and recharged it. Alternator and other possible systems were checked as well. It’s comforting to know those systems are ok.
